FieldTurf Super Fiber En Route to Utah State University

Plans to upgrade the artificial turf surface at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium have been confirmed by officials at Utah State University. The Aggies, who finished the 2021 season ranked 24th in the nation in both the Associated Press and Coaches polls, will open their 2022 season on a new FieldTurf field, which is scheduled to replace the existing aged system at the venue..

“Utah State University and FieldTurf have collaborated on several projects and we’re excited to work with them once again,” said USU Vice President and Director of Athletics John Hartwell. “We want to have the best playing surface possible for our student-athletes and the new synthetic turf being installed is state-of-the-art.”

The new synthetic turf field at Maverik Stadium will feature FieldTurf’s leading Vertex CORE system. The product was designed to deliver the perfect combination of performance and beauty. Equipped with two legendary FieldTurf fibers, the Classic HD slit-film fiber and the CORE monofilament super fiber, the system delivers leading agility, durability and aesthetics.
