The three institutions are five miles apart. Two of them are bitter rivals. One of them is home to Dallas Cowboy, Ezekiel Elliott.
This past year, three of St. Louis’ premier private schools chose Field Turf as their surface of play. John Burroughs School, Mary Institute Country Day School (MICDS) and Chaminade College Prep will now compete on FieldTurf systems.
“(Our) new field turf is considered amongst the safest artificial grass surfaces and has what our coaches feel is the best playability of all the surfaces on the market,” John Burroughs’ media department wrote. “This is a major upgrade in both safety and performance.”
CHAMINADE, MARY INSTITUTE OPT FOR REVOLUTION 360
Chaminade kicked off their 2016 season on the industry leading Revolution 360 system, and the results couldn’t have been more promising.
The Red Devils finished with a 9-1 record and made it to the quarterfinals of the Class 5 Missouri High School Football Playoffs, losing to eventual state champs Vianney.
Just a few miles away, the MICDS Rams’ lacrosse team used their FieldTurf surface to power their way to a state championship.
FieldTurf Revolution 360 gave the Red Devils and Rams a winning system that was safe, durable and able to stand up to hundreds of grueling practices and fierce competition.
The field’s combination of durability, UV resistance and feel are what makes Revolution 360 the only artificial turf system to achieve an 83 in Labosport’s Fiber Performance Index (FPI).
The FPI establishes a rating for turf fiber and helps facility operators, as well as coaches, players, parents and fans, better understand and weigh the qualities of an individual product’s turf fibers.
The system’s fibers showed an unprecedented ability to resist tearing, recover from high-intensity wear and endure UV exposure while maintaining superior feel.
Quickly becoming the most popular surface in North America, Revolution 360 is installed at Gillette Stadium (home of the NFL’s New England Patriots and MLS’s New England Revolution), CenturyLink Field (home of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks & MLS’s Seattle Sounders), Providence Park (home of the MLS’s Portland Timbers) Princeton University, Toledo University, University of Texas at El Paso and over 200 High School and community fields.
EZEKIEL ELLIOTT’S ALMA MATER CHOOSES CLASSIC HD
John Burroughs High School knew Dallas Cowboy’s running back Ezekiel Elliott was a special player when he arrived in 2009.
It was that same knack for finding talent that convinced John Burroughs that our Classic HD was the right fit for their football program, which has won more state titles than any other St. Louis high school.
Known as a Beauty and a Beast, our Classic HD product is a slit-film system that withstands the toughest athletic and atmospheric conditions while offering beautiful aesthetics.
Classic HD is the same system installed at high profile venues such as Ford Field, Home of the Detroit Lions, TCF Bank Stadium – University of Minnesota, Ohio State University, Syracuse University and over 500 esteemed NCAA and elite high school facilities across North America and around the world.
