Community Celebrates Start of Installation at Madonna Park

Another thriving town in New Jersey celebrated the installation of their FieldTurf field.

This past Thursday, Livingston Mayor Shawn Klein, along with other community leaders, inaugurated the rolling out of a new FieldTurf field at Madonna Park, a rejuvenated public space now highlighted by a pristine playing surface.

Once completed, the new field will be the crown jewel of a project that’s been eight years in the making, local media reported. Renovations of the popular park started in 2015 and, according to Klein, will wrap up sometime in the next few weeks.

“The town’s teams are now going to have all new access to the highest-quality turf field on the market,” Klein told local online publication TAP Into Livingston. “It’s going to be wonderful.”

Madonna Park is the second facility in the area to opt for FieldTurf. Nearby Livingston High School has played and practiced on FieldTurf for over a decade.

The Lancers football team won their first state sectional title in 2008.

FieldTurf was also installed at nearby James Caldwell High School, Verona High School, the Township of Verona, Cedar Grove High School, West Essex High School and West Orange High School in addition to over 600 fields in the state of New Jersey.

FIELDTURF REVOLUTION 360: THE COMPLETE FIBER

Named after the concept of completeness, Revolution 360 is the industry’s first fiber to have achieved a score of 83 on the Fiber Performance Index (FPI). Introduced to the marketplace by Labosport – a leading laboratory dedicated to sports surfaces and equipment – as part of the latest addition to its Certification Program, Labosport’s FPI establishes the ultimate fiber ‘index’ – the rating of an artificial turf fiber, to help prospective turf buyers understand and weigh the individual qualities of a turf fiber.

The newly launched fiber has taken the industry by storm and is quickly becoming the most popular surface in North America. Madonna Park will join an impressive list of users, of which features Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots and Revolution, CenturyLink Field, home of the Seahawks and Sounders, Princeton University, Toledo University and University of Texas at El Paso to name a few.

Revolution 360 is also the industry’s first fiber to withstand 30,000 Lisport cycles without showing any signs of wear, as shown in the latest results from a Lisport wear test conducted at Penn State’s Center for Sports Surface Research. See the study Here.
