The University of Redlands have chosen FieldTurf for their football practice field

The innovative FieldTurf Revolution CoolPlay turf system will be installed to provide an elite-level artificial surface and to reduce surface temperature. They will be the first among the NCAA Division III to include FieldTurf Revolution with CoolPlay technology.

"We have taken every step in the synthetic field surface industry that is available to us at this time to mitigate the heat challenges of our location”, stated Director of Athletics Jeff Martinez.

FieldTurf’s exclusive cork top dressing allows the CoolPlay system to deliver the same behavior and overall stability as FieldTurf’s elite system fields found in the world’s most famous stadiums. CoolPlay was designed to reduce the heat without any reduction in field performance.

“We are excited that the University of Redlands has joined the growing list of organizations that have chosen our CoolPlay turf systems,” said FieldTurf President Eric Daliere. “Everyone at FieldTurf is completely committed to providing the Bulldogs athletics with the absolute best world-class surfaces.”

Redlands is one of three California facilities to receive this type of installation this year and joins various NCAA Division I football teams that have already made the switch to CoolPlay. Among others, the Bulldogs now are in the company of the University of Arizona and the University of Nebraska.
