The FieldTurf installation in the Dyersburg City Schools athletic stadium has been completed ahead of schedule. The administration applauds FieldTurf for their work.
“FieldTurf has exceeded our expectations at every level,” said Neel Durbin, Director of Schools. “The sales personnel worked with us to meet our needs with the product and scheduling. The TCPN procurement process sped up the process and guaranteed a low price for our needs. The installation team was efficient, friendly and professional and every step was ahead of schedule.”
Installation began June 10 and after a week of practice, Dyersburg hosted 16 teams for a 7-on-7 event on July 25. “Work crews were active as long as the sun was up. Some nights they even worked under the stadium lights,” replied Head Football Coach, Bart Stowe.
The wet summer has not dampened the spirits of athletes in Dyersburg. “The new Turf has enabled Dyersburg to host two regional multi-team events that had been canceled at other schools due to wet weather” commented Durbin. “Many teams in our area benefited by rescheduling those events to our facility knowing that we could host regardless of the damp conditions.”
“The stadium has already been used more in the first month than the entire previous year. Band, soccer, football from the Middle and High Schools have used the field where before we would have not used the facility prior to the week of our first game” commented Durbin. “The cooperation between the city, our schools, and FieldTurf has enabled Dyersburg to step up to another level in student activities.”
