Colgate University's New FieldTurf Surface Receives FIFA 2-Star Certification

HAMILTON, NY (September 10th, 2014) – Colgate University’s new FieldTurf surface has earned FIFA 2-Star recommended status. This marks the only FieldTurf Revolution FIFA 2-star recommended field in the state of New York.

"This is by far the best surface we have played on and feels just like natural grass,” said Erik Ronning, Colgate University's Head Men's Soccer Coach. “FieldTurf has provided us with such a high quality field and my players really enjoy playing on it.”

The FIFA Recommended 2-Star designation is the highest synthetic turf rating from FIFA and is issued after a battery of tests are performed by a FIFA approved testing agent. FIFA final round competitions and top UEFA competitions have the FIFA Recommended 2-Star in their respective competition regulations.
