The Birthplace of College Football Welcomes Another FieldTurf Surface

A new FieldTurf artificial turf surface was installed at High Point Solutions Stadium prior to the 2017 Rutgers football season. The existing FieldTurf surface has been replaced with FieldTurf’s latest monofilament technology.

“FieldTurf is one of the great innovators in artificial surfaces and we are pleased to continue our partnership with an industry leader,” said Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Pat Hobbs. “We are committed to providing our coaches and players with best in class facilities and this is another step in that process for all our student-athletes who compete at High Point Solutions Stadium.”

This is the third FieldTurf surface to be installed at the Scarlet Knights’ High Point Solutions Stadium, since FieldTurf installed the stadium’s first synthetic turf surface back in 2000; and the fourth FieldTurf field on campus.

“We are happy to have been selected once more by Rutgers University”, said FieldTurf President Eric Daliere. “The University is a long-time FieldTurf user, and we are certain that they’ll continue to be extremely pleased with the high quality of FieldTurf’s latest innovation.”

High Point Solutions Stadium’s new field will feature FieldTurf’s revolutionary new premium system, featuring the industry’s highest-performing monofilament fiber that makes the surface player-friendly, resilient and durable. Along with the most innovative fiber technology in the industry, this state-of-the-art turf system features FieldTurf’s proprietary heavy infill system, which is critical to performance and playability. The result is a surface that plays soft, feels real, looks great and hangs tough.

Rutgers University joins the New England Patriots, Portland Timbers & California State University, amongst others, as one of the very first to feature the industry’s very latest monofilament system.

FieldTurf is the turf of choice in the Big Ten conference, featured at 10 of the 13 game fields in the conference including University of Michigan, Ohio State University and University of Nebraska.
