FieldTurf Installation Has Been Completed at University of Wyoming

Installation of the new FieldTurf Revolution surface at the University of Wyoming’s War Memorial Stadium has been completed. The field’s new features include a distinctive design of Wyoming’s Teton Mountains in the end zones, and on the sidelines is the lettering “7220 Feet” to distinguish Jonah Field as the highest NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision stadium in the country.

The installation of the new surface took under three weeks, beginning on Monday, June 10 and was completed on Thursday, June 27.

Here' s a look at the new field:

FieldTurf’s safety, performance and durability levels have proven to be ideal for the sport of football with over 100 D-1 schools playing and/or practicing on FieldTurf. Combined with independent testing and proven safety characteristics that have been linked to FieldTurf’s patented infill system, the Revolution fiber represents another innovative component added to a system that had built its reputation on redefining player safety, athletic performance and field longevity.

In addition to the Cowboys, other Mountain West Conference members that play and/or practice on FieldTurf include University of Nevada-Reno, Boise State University, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado State University, University of New Mexico, and San Diego University. The Cowboys are also part of an impressive list of schools that also play on FieldTurf. That list includes top Division-I NCAA programs such as Illinois, Illinois State, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, West Virginia, Nebraska, Washington, Texas, Texas Tech, Iowa, Rutgers, Syracuse, Cincinnati and Louisville, to name of few.
