Installation of the playing surface at new Mosaic Stadium has begun.
The new playing surface, Revolution 360, is designed and manufactured by FieldTurf. The state of the art system offers independently-measured improvement in performance, safety, and durability. While it is becoming one of the most popular field surfaces in the United States, the new Mosaic Stadium will be the first in the Canadian Football League to feature Revolution 360.
Full installation of the turf is expected to take approximately five weeks.
“Our playing surface is world-class and will be a great benefit to all users of our new stadium,” commented Mayor Michael Fougere. “I’m looking forward to seeing the Rams and Huskies play on it later this fall as we start making new Mosaic moments.”
“We are proud to have been chosen to provide the playing surface at new Mosaic Stadium,” said Eric Daliere, FieldTurf President. “We share a commitment to excellence and a deep appreciation of sport just as all the partners in the stadium project in Regina and we’re excited to begin this phase of the project.”
Currently the stadium is approximately 93 per cent complete. The first test game in the new multi-purpose facility will be played between the University of Regina Rams and University of Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday, October 1.
