Revolution 360 withstands Penn State’s 30,000 Lisport cycle wear test without showing any signs of wear.
Revolution 360 has achieved what no other fiber has been able to accomplish thus far, becoming the turf industry’s first fiber to achieve a Perfect 10.
FieldTurf’s latest monofilament fiber was named after the concept of completeness. One of the key characteristics of a complete fiber is durability, and the latest results from a Lisport wear test conducted at Penn State’s Center for Sports Surface Research, are a testament to that – Revolution 360 is the industry’s first fiber to withstand 30,000 Lisport cycles, achieving a Perfect 10.
Revolution 360, along with 13 other competitor samples, was exposed to a total of 30,000 cycles on the Lisport wear tester, after which point ten random fiber samples were inspected for signs of wear such as hair-splitting, fractures or complete splitting. Revolution 360 was the only fiber to withstand the test without showing any signs of wear – a feat that has never been accomplished by any turf fiber since the Lisport wear tester was implemented as the industry standard in 2011. “This result is a statement to our objective to constantly innovate and push the industry’s boundaries. In introducing Revolution 360 to the market this past December, we have introduced the most durable turf fiber ever conceived. We, at FieldTurf, take pride in setting new standards for the industry” said Eric Daliere, President of FieldTurf.
Revolution 360 achieved a score of 83 on Labosport’s Fiber Performance Index (FPI). FPI, measures a fiber’s quality by quantifying the 3 key aspects of a fiber that are most important to those purchasing a sports field: Durability, measured by UV exposure and fiber wear resistance; Resilience, measured by the recovery of the fiber after compression; and Smoothness, measured by the feel of the fiber.
