Jayhawks Keep Their Practices Cool

While it’s customary for the University of Kansas’ Memorial Stadium to make headlines, this time, it’s their practice fields that stole the show.

As part of their efforts to resurrect a football program that’s produced NFL greats like Gale Sayers and John Riggins, the Jayhawks announced the installation of FieldTurf’s Revolution 360 system with renowned CoolPlay infill for the practice fields at KU’s Anderson Family Football Complex.

REVOLUTION 360: THE COMPLETE FIBER

The Jayhawks’ offensive and defensive squads will run through drills on the most advanced turf system in the industry.

Named after the concept of completeness, the Revolution 360 fiber features optimal durability, resilience and feel.

Quickly becoming the most popular surface in North America, the Jayhawks will join an impressive list of current users, of which features Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots & Revolution, CenturyLink Field, home of the Seahawks & Sounders, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Falcons and United, Portland Timbers, Princeton University, Toledo University, University of Texas at El Paso and over 200 High School and community fields.

**COOLPLAY: HIGH PERFORMANCE. LOW TEMPERATURE. **

One of KU’s favorite features of the FieldTurf surface at Memorial Stadium is the CoolPlay infill.

Impressed with its performance, the university wanted the same level of excellence on their practice fields.

Our CoolPlay infill system provides industry-leading safety with a unique innovation – a top layer that can reduce field temperatures by 35 degrees over conventional sand/rubber infill solutions.

The key to our top dressing is a special extruded composite that provides a safe laying surface while reflecting heat. CoolPlay takes nothing away from performance... except the heat.

CoolPlay is a popular choice with elite collegiate programs across the nation, including the University of Arizona, University of Notre Dame, University of Nebraska and the University of Georgia.
