FieldTurf Gives Back to Athletics Through Industry-First NFT Collection

FieldTurf is excited to announce the release of a FieldTurf NFT Collection, to benefit school athletic programs and help create increased opportunities for youth athletes. The collection will feature unique partnerships with customers, creating a new stream of fundraising for their program and community. The FieldTurf NFT collection can be viewed and purchased Here.

Part of FieldTurf’s mission has been to create safer places for athletes of all ages to play and give them more opportunity to do so with all-weather athletic fields. This passion for sport led to the creation of the “Better Tomorrow” program, which in 2021 partnered with Good Sports, an organization that helps serve millions of kids by donating the necessary equipment to get them in the game. Together with Good Sports, we help youth athletes in need with the opportunity to participate in team and individual sports. It highlights one of FieldTurf’s core principles: “Stop at nothing to make a difference”.

Proceeds from the sale of FieldTurf branded NFTs will be donated to Good Sports to continue to support their current initiatives, learn more Here.

Future NFT releases in collaboration with collegiate and professional athletes are planned in the coming year. The initiative will help support their alma mater’s athletic program to allow future generation to continue to play.

WHAT’S AN NFT?

According to theverge.com, NFTs allow you to buy and sell ownership of unique digital items and keep track of who owns them using the blockchain. NFT stands for “non-fungible token,” and it can technically contain anything digital, including drawings, animated GIFs, songs, or items in video games. An NFT can either be one-of-a-kind, like a real-life painting, or one copy of many, like trading cards, but the blockchain keeps track of who has ownership of the file.

A HISTORY OF INNOVATION

At FieldTurf, the athlete has always come first. It’s what inspired the company’s very creation. FieldTurf’s founders knew there was something better than the short-pile carpet turf systems of the 1960’s, and they solved the problem. 25,000 installations later, that obsession for better is still very much alive across the entire team.

As leaders in artificial turf, FieldTurf has continuously help lead the industry by raising the bar on what it means to Change The Game.

In recent years, FieldTurf has been the first to announce numerous programs and innovative products:
